This is the Life... (8.14.12)

Today we had another relaxing morning...

Later in the afternoon, Ashkon and I went to meet his "footsteps buddy." This is an upper-termer who is willing to help the first term student with questions and such. Ashkon's footsteps buddy, Courtney, actually also had a bunch of computer files and resources to give to him! We met her on campus and she was very helpful with studying tips, good and bad professors, and other island info that was interesting to hear!

We then grabbed some lunch and met Matt and Jo at Grooms Beach. It was a really nice day to get to know them better and just relax in the water! The water here is so blue and clear and the absolute perfect temperature! The boys eventually swam over to the side cliff to do some snorkeling. They were very excited to tell us about the eel that they saw and some other little fish...After we were all pruny and beached out, we cleaned off to get ready for dinner. We had more down time though because the boys decided that they were making us dinner! What a treat! :) They eventually let me help peel and cut the carrots- big help I know ;) Since it was such a nice night (more meaning that it was cooler outside than inside), we ate outside. We enjoyed a big meal of cream of mushroom alfredo (for those of you who know me well, yes I am definitely having to branch out with my food variety...). After dinner, Matt and Jo reluctantly let me and Ash do the dishes to thank them for such a nice meal. Then, we taught them one of our favorite games- RUMMIKUB! To our surprise, neither one of us won haha [we tend to teach people new games and then continually beat them Oops ;) ] But we had a really fun night with our new friends and enjoyed getting to know them better!
