First, we went up to get Ashkon registered and to sign up for some tours! Then there were some mandatory sessions that Ashkon/we had to go to. The first session we went to was on the History and Culture in Grenada. I was excited to go with Ashkon and learn more about the island! Unfortunately, now that I am no longer a student, my "bad student-ness" kicked in. haha I never, well rarely, (we had 6AM workouts three times a week so I had a legitimate excuse) dozed off in class when I was in school and I could absolutely not keep my eyes open in this lecture hall. The harder I tried the worse it was. And it was interesting information too! But, what I heard was cool the rest was a blur...
So, we decided to try another session later in the day. It was called safety in Grenada and Campus rules. This was not as interesting but I was able to stay awake a little bit better- of course it would work like that ha!
The second day of orientation started with something pretty exciting- We got to pick up Ashkon's white coat!! This is when it really started to feel real- we weren't just there to make friends and go to the beach (well, at least not Ashkon) but for MEDICAL SCHOOL! He was really here to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor!! And of course, I made him try it on so I could take pictures :)

Later, there was a Significant Others Meet & Greet where the SOs and spouses met to meet the other couples on campus! It was neat to here all the places that people were from and to hear that there were other SOs from California! After a quick introductions and information meeting, we mingled for a little bit and then went back home. Ashkon had another session to go to and I decided to take a break from the orientation meetings. It was my first time being alone since we had been to Grenada and first time in our house. It was interesting but I got a taste of what a lot of my time will be like while we are here while Ashkon is in class. I think it was good for me also to just relax and rejuvenate for the next few days before school really started.
Ashkon was definitely done with being in the lecture hall and got to play soccer! It is really fun to still be able to watch him play even though he's not really on a team like at APU. I know he misses it and the competitive part of it but he is really having fun! He doesn't think so but he is still an amazing player and the best player out there (Truly not being biased) :D
