Today, was the first family event that I was missing since our move. And, if you got these pictures sent to your phone on a day that you knew you were missing a family weekend, you would have a hard day too.

Yes, I miss all my family but I think nieces and nephews are on a different level. I mean look at how cute they are! :) Saturday was Bethany's bridal shower at Lori's (Jess's mother in law). From pictures I saw, the house was decorated so cute- A League of Their Own themed! I heard the shower was tons of fun and Bethany felt very celebrated!
The next day was the twins' birthday party! Zeke had been sick and had to go to the hospital for a day so everyone was so glad that he was better enough for his party! It was Winnie the Pooh themed and they had the CUTEST party outfits ever! Their first birthday is when Jess lets them have sugar for the first time for their birthday cake (I can't believe they are one already!). However, this year she tried making a healthy fruit type of cake. I was told that Zeke loved it but Reese not so much. So, Jess and Jt decided to give her a chocolate cupcake to see if she liked that any better- She destroyed it! Thatta girl!!! :) We gladly will welcome in another chocolate lover into the family!! :) I missed them so much and was totally bummed that I couldn't be at the party but at least I got some pictures!

Luckily, I had a few distractions to keep me busy while I was missing family. Today was convocation! First was an all first term convocation where we got to be introduced to the Chancellor, as well as faculty members who hold various jobs around campus. Right after was the medical school convocation. We were introduced to the professors who Ashkon will be taught by and learned more about the school and classes! It was all becoming so real, so fast! We really enjoyed "meeting" the teachers and people who Ashkon will so often be interacting with while we are here in Grenada! We went to CSA again and met a few new people! We did some worship and then it was more of an intro meeting, hearing about the different ways to volunteer or get involved, as well as the few activities that we will be doing throughout the term! When we got home, I started to prepare for the next day since it would be a little crazy as it was Ashkon's first day of medical school! I made rice for dinner and then I made crepe batter so I could make Ashkon crepes for his first day! I tried to keep it a surprise but I'm pretty sure he knew what I was doing the whole time :)

Later, we went to the orientation bizarre! There were tents set up for all the on campus clubs and all of the medical clubs. I signed up for the SO Organization and paid my dues for the various events throughout the term. Ashkon got information and joined a few of the medical clubs too! After that, we went over to all the tents for restaurants around the island. We had been given free tickets that were various amounts of EC that we could use to try out some food items from the restaurant tents! It was awesome! We got some FREE drinks than took a little tour of our FREE options! We like things that are free if you couldn't tell! Everything looked delicious! Ashkon first got some cheese bread that ended up being as big as a whole round loaf of cheese bread! He was happy with that choice! We then went to get a fajitas taster from Dodgy Docks, Ashkon got some sushi from Carib Sushi and some bananas from the fruit stand and I got a mini chocolate cake taster from the Beach House! We had a lot of fun at the bizarre!
